Although much of this is common knowledge, please consider the following:
SF is dismissed in September after sending the program into a near-imminent nosedive
Mickey, knowing that this was a high possibility, accepts the WR/AHC position upon being hired
takes the reigns on a (basically) short week heading into the OU game
Salvages a could-have-been winless rest of the season, beating RU and IU
Recoups the squad to fight their asses off, amid head-scratching horrid OL performances
Busch brings order, as much as he can, to a lost defense
kick and punt teams all-around better this season
MJ accepts responsibility for every shortcoming while team struggles continued (spare us all the feelings "regurgitated answers" during postgame pressers. What else do you want the man to say aside from the team needs to improve?)
Still an opportunity to finish with a better record than last year, bruises and all, with a shot to beat a rival
Another new era begins next year. Let's just be happy. Happy Thanksgiving to all and GBR!
