i adore BP and their 2019 set was phenomenal. you seem to be the one that can't separate the idea that people arguing that BP shouldn't be a headliner means that these people don't like BP, which is not the case for 99% of the people in this sub. i agree that this is an incredibly historic moment and festivals should be doing more in terms of representation, but there is also an inherent risk that if BP's show is not well-received/memorable should they headline (which i'm not saying it will be), it could potentially affect all future kpop acts and GV/other festivals may pause before allowing other kpop acts to headline (or even subheadline for that matter). and as i've noted above, i don't think the issue will be the crowd or even the performance aspect, it will simply be due to the lack of a fully realized set because they simply don't have enough material, which is why, again as i've noted above, they would make a great future headliner when they have more music out
