I understand where you're coming from. I'm thinking as an Indian person so it might be different. In our culture, there are literal virginity tests for women on their wedding night and people who still practice that. Moreover, if a girl is promiscuous before marriage, some rural parts of India still practice honor killings. It's not even women who impose those standards- It's the men. Those men will even ask for "virgin brides" on matrimonial sites specifically and support these ideas. Then they get all sad when the girls can't express themselves sexually after marriage even though they placed those standards on the women. No surprise there! The saddest thing is no one ever questions the man's sexuality. Unfortunately a lot of middle eastern and eastern cultures hold similar views. I just hope we can leave that out of Christianity
