Yes beating a kid is of course a mater for the authorities, but something more nuanced like this would not be. (I think that's what you are saying and I agree) but I don't think that means that trying to help someone do what is best for their child should be dismissed just because it's not my kid. My point was not that the two situation were exactly similar, only that the "do nothing, say nothing" position is a cheap cop out if I honestly think that some action can do actual harm to a child, And obviously I do.

There are people out their with the opinion that masturbation is a sinful harmful act that should be shamed and discouraged, and to me this is a harmful, dangerous, and unhealthy approach. I'm only offering an opinion on the subject, one that I strongly believe in.

I guess I would question if you think i'm wrong, or if you just think it's none of my business. If you think I'm wrong then I would disagree and question why you think that, if your only objection is that it's not my place to say how people raise their own child then I would simply ask why offering my thoughts on the mater is such a bad thing.
