It is a big deal. Try biking with a crazed driver on your tail. Running you off the road. I can go 15mph MAYBE. And all hills? Yeah good luck.

This is the thing, you obviously dont understand the situation I was in, and dont understand how I would have used a gun in that instance.

Even just a flash would have stopped it in seconds. Just getting off the bike and drawing while pointing at the ground would have done the trick.
