Does having a known threat change how you CCW?

Many years ago, I witnessed a horrific crime. The psychopath criminal knew I would be his one-way ticket to life in prison, so he tried to hire someone to kill me. That person went to the alphabet agency. The criminal was arrested, I testified against him, and he was convicted and incarcerated. While incarcerated, he still attempted to hire another prisoner about to be released; however, he snitched on him. A year later, he tried to do the same thing and got snitched on again.

Knowing all this means I’m watching my back 24/7. I have a shit load of court-ordered protective and restraining orders, but they mean nothing besides another potential crime to be added to his long rap sheet and won't protect me. They're a waste of paper and ink.

Here is my security setup: - Security cameras around and in my home, streaming live online, keeping history for 30 days. Cameras are pointed everywhere. - Dash cams in my vehicle covering 360 degrees, connected to and saving video to the cloud. - Security alarms on everything - I am carrying 99.999% of the time unless I’m in an airport, courthouse, police station, and areas where I can not carry, but that is not way too often. - My location is shared 24/7 via my iPhone with close family and close friends, and if anyone notices unexpected movement or no movement, they check on me immediately. I will probably get an Apple Watch to make that info more accurate because a phone can be stolen or left behind. - All my trip plans are automatically shared with the same people via my calendar apps and trip planning apps. - My commute is constantly switched around, and I change the plates on my car once a year. - Most importantly, I train weekly with my CCW at the range and daily dry fire.

Living under a known credible threat is no fun, but I’d rather be safe than dead. I got used to it, and it’s now my routine. It doesn’t matter what happens, I will not go down without a fight, and evidence will be available just in case.
