I'm mentally prepared to carry, but my wife is "freaking out" whenever I try to do so. Any idea on how to talk to her about it?

I feel like this is such a bad idea, on top of the relationship trust/communication issues.

There are plenty videos online of people nearby a defender freaking out and trying to interfere.

If yours or OP's wife who is unreasonable and emotional towards guns and probably completely untrained in using one, has no clue you're armed or what your draw is like....you're just asking for your her (and she is probably going to be the person closest to you) to freakout/scream/flail/intervene and knock your hand or arm or otherwise try to stop you from shooting or otherwise become an obstacle in a DGU. She might even make a scene if you're printing or something in public.

Just communicate with your wife....part of me thinks this post is a troll for people to mock the teenagers on this sub giving terrible relationship advice on top of questionable gun advice.
