Why I quit using MBTI

MBTI can be a valid theory, but it's not meant to be taken seriously.

....

MBTI is a great tool and all, but at the same time, it can be a dangerous and corrupt tool as well.

Only if used incorrectly. It is like blaming the hammer for being used to hit someone over the head.

One of the biggest problems people have when getting into MBTI is vetting the sources from which they absorb information.

People casually writing about their often shallow understanding of the theory leads to what seems to be a massive amount of conflicting information and character typings on the internet.

Most people do not take it seriously; most people do not want to dedicate the amount of time it takes to understand it, which is understandable. Most people just want to live their lives, not spend years trying to be able to correctly identify and understand all 16 types.

I do agree that a break would be a healthy choice if it is causing stress or causing people to not be able to connect normally with those around them.
