I don’t give my dog treats, and the person I live with feeds her, but she dumps all her affection and love on me every single time she sees me and she loves me far more than the person who feeds her because they only gave her food; they never give her love or attention. Their love has absolutely nothing to do with food. Anyway, it’s completely in a dog’s nature to feel this way with a human who has provided nothing but love.

Sure, maybe you don’t feed your chameleon by hand. But he still knows you are the one who is putting food in his cage and that is what he associates you with.

You said it’s a bond regardless; but no, you are not seeing my point. I am saying that there is no bond with reptiles. They like food and that’s all they want out of their human, there is nothing else in life to them.
