Relationships are interesting. Everything that someone can see as a flaw are all the little things that someone else loves about you. All the things people make you feel bad or ashamed about feeling, saying, or doing, are the things that that One person supports, admires, and loves. All the things others say, or don't say, that make you feel ashamed or upset or anxious are the polar opposite of what that one person will say or omit from you. And how funny it is that the saying 'you find it when you're not looking' has never been truer. Because you were in ruins and absolutely not looking; it was them that found you. And when you remember yourself saying 'I'll never feel this way again' is true, because this person doesn't make you feel ashamed or gross, or dumb or ugly or embarrassed to be yourself; this person makes you feel beautiful inside and out, and makes you feel like you can get through anything as long as they're there beside you. And then you realise how incredibly, truly lucky you are. And you think to yourself that this is not like anything you've ever experienced. That this is what people have written and talked and danced and sung about for centuries. And it makes you want that to be forever. And forever isn't long enough.

And chance is also funny. The slightest chance out of all possibilities that you were able to find this person. I never did believe in fate.. but All the coincidences and things to have happened for my partner and I to have met when we did and where we did was absolutely incredible.
