On one hand, there are millions of peaceful Muslims all over the planet. On the other, Muslims seem to be the most violent religious group out there.

I'm gonna be honest with you. I live in a very multicultural city and pretty much anyone in my close environment is muslim. My school is like, 80% muslim. And no, they're not all extreme.

But that's beside the point because the vast majority either doesn't care about ISIS or is supportive of them. Like, "I won't kill a gay person myself but I wouldn't be angry if ISIS did".

That however does seem to be the majority.

And if it comes down to protecting gay people who did nothing wrong or Muslims who want to install Sharia, then imo Muslims can fuck right off.

Yes Christians have been violent aswel but times have changed. They don't kill gay people anymore in Europe.

And then again, it's not like this isn't what Muhammed or the original caliphates did.

Religious freedom is not something that can just be thrown out the window.

The problem is, Islam is also an ideology. Islam includes laws and political systems. Beside being a religion, it's also an ideology. Just like Communism, Fascism or Liberalism.

Europe tries to have political freedom, yet Nazism is outlawed. Why? Because Nazism doesn't allow political freedom in the first place.

I agree that religious freedom should be respected but that does not extend to religions that don't allow it in the first place. We shouldn't be tolerant of the intolerant.

I don't see what good will come out of disparaging Islam or blaming it except further inciting violence

It brings light to the subject. If we aren't allowed to know that Muslims did it or that Islam promotes it then we would never talk about the problems within Islam itself.

We aren't blaming it. These things happen because of Islam. They kill for Islam.

As soon as we realise that there are inherit problems with Islam, we can find a solution. And this type of censorship does the exact opposite.
