/r/NintendoSwitch's Daily Question Thread (04/23/2017)

Hey folks! Happy Sunday. Rather than make a new thread about this for the nth time, I figured I would post it to the Daily Thread. Thanks in advance for your thoughts/replies! I've read about the dreaded Left Joy-Con connectivity issues since launch and I've always thought myself to be one of the lucky ones without issues, however last night for the first time I had a problem.

My Switch is in the open, not obstructed by anything, and I was sitting in a chair about four feet away from it in its dock. There was nothing in between myself and the system. I was playing BotW and everything was working perfectly.

I opened the Inventory screen and all of a sudden the left thumbstick wasn't responding or had a delayed response. I would press left on the thumbstick a couple of times and it would do nothing or go in a different direction after lagging for a few seconds. This went on for maybe fifteen seconds and then returned to normal.

After another 30 minutes of playing, the same thing happened under the same circumstances. Everything was fine until I opened the Inventory screen. Then moving the thumbstick became unresponsive for about 30 seconds and went back to normal.

This has only happened - specifically - in the Inventory screen on BotW. I just ran the controller tests with the Joy-Cons and everything was perfect. I could hold it behind my back, obscured, up to five or so meters from the system before it became wonky, which seems to be the advertised functionality.

To me, all signs point to BotW in-game lag related to what was going on in-game plus a large inventory having to process and causing momentary lag while moving the cursor around the items. I really don't think this is the left Joy-Con connectivity issue. Has anyone experienced a similar issue? What do you folks think?
