Thank you BackAlleyPrisonRape for the latest insult. I apologise for being offensive, I forget sometimes how much society has changed. I don't mean this in an inflammatory way, but I feel like people used to have much thicker skin... Especially on the internet with strangers. I realise now how stupid it was of me to make the comment in a forum visited by only people who would disagree with me, but it's a rare mis-step and I'll learn from it. It's been a learning experience for me to see people get offended on behalf of other people's outfits and the imaginary person I pictured in my mind dressing them (Mugatu from Zoolander actually).

The irony is that while I said something mean about a fictional character people have jumped to his defense and leveled some quite harsh words at me personally... all the while telling me I have no right to be so mean.

This on top of my clear intent to 'leave' i.e unsub because I have reached a point where I no longer have any connection to it.

Fair enough, I was a bit mean. People have said much worse to me in the last day. The difference is that I don't buy into the opinions and words of strangers from the internet.

My personal message to you mr. Rape is this: I'm sorry I said mean words and I would take them back if I could. I realised my mistake and deleted my comment. I hope you and the other fine (but aggressively retaliatory) folks over at MFA can find it in your hearts not to forgive me, but merely to forget me. I can trade insults with the best of em, but it doesn't help anyone.
