/r/WorldNews Live Thread: Russian Invasion of Ukraine Day 9, Part 3 (Thread #101)

seconding this. I'm in the states, doom scrolled for about 2 days, worked myself into panic attacks, got physically sick, head was killing me, was having some dark thoughts. tried to knock out and slept for about 24 hours and realized it was primarily reddit that was causing 70% of the stress. stay the hell off reddit. delete the app and log out of the browser. this is the only social media with this level of fear mongering and doom that I've seen. if you're in NATO territory you're fine. and you don't have to subject yourself to every video of death and destruction in Ukraine in order to have sympathy or to be a decent world citizen. read reliable news sources, not people's opinions, not click bait bullshit. look at dumb memes and watch youtube videos or do a hobby you like instead bc reddit and this thread in particular is probably responsible for a lot of people's panic attacks.
