Raya and the Last Dragon is one of the most disappointing films I have ever seen.

Point taken, and I understand it. Except doesn’t the movie communicate that Raya’s soft heart has been hardened through how she has been living the past six years? Surely this can’t be the first time she’s encountered something like this.

Also about your point of there not being many thieves in Heart, understood. But there are lots of thieves in Talon, and she knows this. Also she hasn’t been to Heart in six years; she’s been roughing it, living a lonely, nomadic life, and she’s probably had to fight off her fair share of bandits.

She is certainly an empathetic character at heart, but I don’t think we should underestimate the extent to which her trauma has hardened her and taught her the cruel ways of the world, thus why I still think her helping Con Baby is out of character. But of course, you’re entitled to your own opinion!
