This episode has me thinking about how Teresa talks about her daughters vs. Mel and Joe. Anytime Teresa brings up her daughters on the show or on her podcasts it’s in a positive light, never to shame them or make herself seem like a great parent. In comparison, Joe and Mel have brought up Antonia’s virginity multiple times. The story they told on their podcast about taking Antonia’s Porsche away to prove they are “great parents”. I think Teresa has made some terrible life choices and can be a terrible person, but I think she’s earned her daughter’s respect by going to jail, making money to pay off debts and keeping her family afloat. Which one way was staying on the show. But I feel Teresa has never used her needing to be on the show to make money as an excuse to “air out her daughters” if that makes sense? However, it always seems Joe and Mel use Antonia as a way to prove themselves and make it all about them. I don’t know… it’ll just be interesting to see the relationships between the daughters and their parents 10 years down the line.
