Real Talk: Beats

M50x is not cheap and is no where near flat. If you enjoy the beats sound signature and think that they are worth it... then go ahead. But dont classify the "audiophile" community a single entity that just hates beats and has a pitchfork under their bed ready to witchhunt the shit out of anyone that uses beats. (Also lets face it, no one in this sub will confront anyone outside of internet about beats... lol)

Often a lot of time people that likes flatter sound just like flatter sound or enjoy different kind of music. people that like beats more probably do like the over emphasised and coloured signature or never experienced with flatter, cleaner and better imaging. So saying that people always recommend flat sound that is less enjoyable is just as subjective as us saying beats are stupidly bassheavy. I personally am not a neutral, flat sound guy. But i am not going to attack someone just because they use mdr-v6 over my porta pro.

So why do people dismiss them? They actually just dont sound good.... even from an open minded person that enjoy pretty much just about any headphone or music. Their bass is fatiguing and not natural, calling them enjoyable is like having sex for the first 5 minutes. After that its just boring and tedious. If you really want bass that sound good... dont use the m50x. Get a hd558.

But at the end of the day. If you really enjoy em and is ready to defend against anyone that dont like it... thats your choice. But in the end. Beats is overpriced, overcoloured, bass shadows everything and is fatiguing. Those are the facts.
