I received a notice of pending action - service of process letter to my parents home. Is this real?

Did you witness an accident, or know someone else being sued. Have you lived in different counties?

If you’re a witness it will be more difficult to find the lawsuit. Search the other counties courthouse’s you lived at.

Or just call and ask the process server. But I doubt they answer with any details.

In most cases the process server has to make three visits and they get paid. Then another is sent and another, then PIs get involved…

Obviously depending on the type of case and your role.

Small claims are sometimes cases you can dodge the service and it will eventually go away. It all depends on how much money the law suit is for and how much you’re worth.

If you own a home and your the defendant, it won’t go away.
