Recruiter for this company straight up lied about the pay. Tried to low ball me, even though the pay is listed in the posting. (Will post in thread the full story)

Long time lurker here, posting because I’ve never had anything so irritating happen. ( sorry for formatting issues, I’m on mobile.)

Backstory: I have a bachelors degree (graduated with the highest honors too if that matters) and close to a year of work experience in HR. I’m currently looking for another position because I was in a 8 month contract HR job, and the 8 months just ended. I applied to the one above because it seemed like a great fit. The posted pay was great, and I again have about a year of experience in HR which the job posting said was needed. A recruiter for the company called me and asked the usual questions about my background. Then she asked what I wanted salary wise…to which I responded with the salary that was in the job posting. She then goes quite and says she’s “taken aback” by that. As soon as i said “it says this pay range with one year of experience on the job posting“ she got quite, and then tried to play it off and said that that pay is only for people with 3+ years of experience. It literally says 60k-70k for one year of experience with a bachelors. She was trying to tell me I was only worth 40kish, which is well under what I made in my last HR job.

I’m not blurring the company name because they are a big company, and I don’t want them to keep trying to take advantage of people.
