Reddit, what would you do differently if you woke up tomorrow as your 12 year old self with your current mind?

That would be 1995.

My childhood was pretty nice, so I don't think I'd change much. Probably lift some weights and try to save some money. I'd try to keep my dad from marrying his second wife, but I doubt he'd listen. I'd graduate in 2001, but would forgo college. My parents would probably disown me... temporarily. I'd try to use my coding skills that I have now to find a job right out of high school, but that was just in time for the .com crash. I loved delivering pizza on my first time through 2001, so I could do that again. As a matter of fact, that income was almost tax-free, so that would probably be easier. I'd try to live at home, but my mom would be going crazy trying to get me into school.

Let's say I delivered pizzas and lived at my parents' house for the two years between graduation and AAPL Day. At the start of the 2001-2002 NFL season, I'd bet everything on the Patriots winning the Superbowl. The odds were 60-1 in the preseason. I could probably save a few thousand dollars between graduation and August. Let's be conservative and say $5000, including money I had saved during the school year. There's $300,000. I'd become the richest pizza delivery guy in the state and start taking IT certs for fun. Then, I'd dump it all into AAPL in April of '03 for $0.94 per share and venture out into the recovering tech sector. I'd sell around Christmas in '07 at a peak, then buy back in right after the '08 election. Finally, I'd sell in September of '12 and put it all into TSLA.

Boom, multiply my initial investment by 4800-ish, as of today, with only five trades. Let's say I used my pizza money for my certs and didn't touch the other money while I worked. I'd be at almost $1.5 billion today. So, time travelers of Reddit, remember those dates. They're the key to going from a pizza delivery driver to a billionaire in about 10 years.
