Years ago I got a call for a drunk guy causing problems at a bar. I get there and the guy is trashed. The bouncers had kicked him out for trying to start fights with multiple people. He had also tried to get back in several times, causing a lot of trouble for the staff.

I tried to get the guy to leave several times. He'd walk down a few stores, then come back and continue cursing out the staff. I called him a cab, and when it got there he refused to get in and told me to fuck off. Having exhausted all other options, I locked the guy up for disorderly conduct.

A few months later the case comes to court, and this guy wants a trial and he represents himself. I testified, and this guy cross examines me. He asked if I have him a breath test or if I looked at his receipt from the bar. I hadn't, because i didn't have to prove her was drunk for him to be disorderly.

He testifies, and he basically calls me a liar. He said that he's been sober for 10 years, and that "If officer LXIV had bothered to do his job correctly, he would have seen that all I had to drink that night was cranberry juice." He basically called me incompetent and a liar at the same time.

Long story short, he was found guilty and had to do a few hours of community service. I had pretty much forgotten about the whole thing, until a few months later when I'm out to eat with my friends. The guy comes in, sits at the bar, and gets a beer. I get pissed off all over again about how this guy called me incompetent and a liar. On my way out the door I gave $5 to the waitress and asked her to send him over a cranberry juice and tell him it was from Officer LXIV.
