This probably won't be very visible at this point but it's probably worth it if at least a couple of people read it.

So I used to work in a commission based sales job, we would get a certain percentage of all sales once we reached a certain threshold. Anyway one time I was talking to a customer about a very large sale (tens of thousands worth - the average sale at this store was $2000-3000). We had talked every day for a few days, everything was confirmed and I'd given him an official quote, he just had to come in the next day and make payment.

When he came in I was not rostered to work, but this is not usually a problem. If there is a quote or the customer mentions they have spoken to another salesperson, we had to put the sale through under that person's name so it would go towards their sale stats (and their commission).

When I was back I checked the system to see how he went, and discovered that the salesperson who served him had put it under her own name. I asked her about it and her response was "oh but he changed a few things and I had to help him a bit further so it's my sale." I checked the order and he had purchased the exact quote that I gave him, no changes.. all she did was take payment. I complained to the manager, who basically said "wow good for her that's a good sale!" and wouldn't do anything.

So later that day a customer came to the register with a discontinued/damaged item that was heavily discounted and when I scanned it into the system it showed a profit margin of like minus 1000%. Usually it was understood/agreed that we put those shitty sales in the manager's name, as commissions don't apply to him and it has no effect on him. But I decided it'd be better to put it under thief-salesperson's name to fuck with her stats and bring her averages right down.

She found out and was like "I was gonna pay you back for that big sale but now I won't." She totally wasn't, so nothing lost for me.
