Reddit, what's your most "I'm with the Boomers on this" opinion?

It's the exact same symbol almost every single time, they literally have a standardised set of symbols for clothes labels. Or is your memory that poor that after years of doing laundry you can't just recognise the important ones?

Ah nice personal attack, I was wondering when you were going to become a dickhead about this. None of those symbols are easy to understand if you're unfamiliar with them. Symbols for up and down are a lot more universally understood than "Dry Clean Only" squiggles. And when operating a vehicle, I don't have time to use the Rosetta Stone to decipher the cartouche of symbols on my dash.

Words cam be translated but when you're selling to places where they don't even have the same language in different parts of the country then it's not exactly a simple process and would just add to the price of things.

But we're talking about cars made in the USA, for purchase in the USA, for Americans. Although we're a country of many languages, it's generally accepted that English is the primary language here.

Or do you need text on a remote to say "power on/off", "increase volume", "decrease volume" etc.

We're not talking about remotes, we're talking about non-universal symbols on a car's dash and display. Even with laundry symbols, which aren't easy to understand, are agreed upon to be universally used for the most part. But a low tire pressure indicator or oil temperature light could be depicted a dozen different ways between a dozen different car companies.
