Reddit, who's the worst teacher you've ever had and why?

Where to even start with this.

In 5th grade I had a teacher take all of my Pokemon cards from me [this included a shiny Charizard]. $100's worth of them. I later found out she was giving them away to students as rewards in class. I never got them back.

8th grade my science teacher told me and the rest of the class that we were all stupid and that was why we were in his class [we were apparently assigned to that class for being the lowest performing students]. He personally told me I should adopt his specific learning methods which I refused to and I insisted on doing things my way. He insisted I would fail. I ended up coming first in the grade in our science exam.

9th grade a teacher [who was acting as career advisor] came to me with a bunch of TAFE course options [I believe it's the Australian equivalent to community college]. She suggested I drop out of school and go into retail or a trade like landscaping, air conditioner repairing, etc.

10th grade we're choosing our 11/12th grade elective classes. I chose to do Chemistry and Biology. The teacher allocating [the 8th grade science teacher] strongly insisted I shouldn't because I would likely fail and if I did I wouldn't have a back up option. Suggested I choose easier classes instead [classes that wouldn't help me get into a univeristy].

10th grade finishes and my deputy principal is trying to convince me to drop out or go to another school. My mother fortunately managed to defend me well enough and I stayed, much to their dismay.

Now it's almost 10 years later and I've got two degrees, currently studying medicine and only a couple of year away from being a doctor. So lucky I ignored all of my teachers throughout my time at school. A lot of my friends weren't so lucky and they did drop out and never went to university.
