My friend and I, both about 14, had decided to go "camping" out in a forest. This forest was quite far away from any houses, factories... anybody in general. We, of course, had our parents drive us there. Our parents told us to stay safe, and my dad gave us both a handgun. We knew how to use them, so it wasn't a danger. Anyways, backstory shmackstory, on to the creepy stuff.

Over the three days we were in that forest, nothing had really happened until the last day. We were sitting in our tent, and came to the conclusion that it was probably about midnight. My friend was getting tired, so I just told him to go to sleep. If anything happened, I would be awake (I never really sleep much, even at home). About 30 minutes later, I started hearing noises. It seemed like the noises were coming from quite far away, so I just assumed it was some animals roaming around. I then remembered that this forest was known for having basically no wild life. Needless to say, I woke up my friend faster than you can say "ayy lmaoo".

Both of us being armed, we turned off our lantern and stepped out of the tent. After some awkward silence, we heard more noises. This time they were behind us, which surprised us. Then more noises from our front. I finally noticed something moving in the trees around the little clearing we were in... it was bigfoot! I pointed the gun, and it came out with hands (or paws?) up. It was so obviously a costume that, even in the current situation, I almost dropped my gun and laughed. I asked him where his buddy was, and he told me that he was behind us. OBVIOUSLY. His accomplice eventually came out with hands/paws up. My friend and I knocked them out (harsh, but we were terrified), got our stuff, and ran. Not before checking what they had brought with them... duct tape, a knife, and some mace.

That is why we only stayed for three days.
