The fact that you actually believe this, particularly lately, makes me sad. Hubris.

They are just hateful people who do hateful things because that's who they are and what they choose. And we are bombarded by the message that their actions do not define them, and we should give them infinite chances to redeem themselves.

Which they never do.

That's just not true. Don't confuse party with personal politics. Most people have a tendency to "pick a side." It's basic human nature and it's being played upon. You're being played, too. You may even be just another person doing the playing, though I hope you're not.

The idea is to inflame all "sides" and keep them at each other's throats so as to weaken the body politic as a whole. To eliminate discourse.

Get out of your bubble, or create the bubble. The former is best for humanity as a whole, the latter is cancer. Which are you?
