Reporter: Tony, Dana said you would need to be evaluated before you come back to the octagon. Did that actually happen? Tony: I think he needs to be evaluated. We need to check his head, man. I don't know how many Interim title fights he could try to make me f*****g fight.

The UFC then refused to put up any belt

Well yeah, because the UFC 197 matchup between Tony and Khabib was not for a title. Thus it would not make sense for the UFC to put a title on line for Tony vs. MJ.

Then when Tony gets injured, they turn around and gift Khabib the titleshot against Al despite having refused a deserving Tony the same exact opportunity when Khabib fucked up.

Nice revisionist history. You seem to be forgetting the fact that the fight was slated as a title fight before Tony dropped out, and it was stated over and over by Dana in the weeks leading up to the fight that the winner would be the title holder. It is not at all the same as what happened at UFC 197 when Tony dropped out.

It's crazy how people seem to forget Tony and Khabib are tied in pull outs but it's Khabib who was given a shot at the real belt while Tony was only ever allowed to fight for the fake one.

Because people realize that timing played a huge part in it. Khabib never dropped out of a title fight against Tony. But Tony dropped out of a title shot against Khabib. Simple as that really.
