Why Rob Pelinka is GM of the Year

I thought that in advance, on paper, but to my eye that's not at all what played out. He was inconsistent and inconsequential, and I think he's overrated as a defender. You want him to be a Dennis Rodman or a Draymon Green type of guy, and that's what he seems to be when he's on the opposing team, because he's not afraid to get up in the face of a Lebron James or a Steph Curry, but when you see him on your own team you realize he's not anywhere fucking CLOSE to Rodman or Green, and in fact is more-or-less a glorified roleplayer. And I'm not saying that to be snarky or to shit on the guy for no reason; it's merely my assessment-heavy opinion. The fact that we were able to get Mo Bamba back for Bev a mere two days after Thomas Bryant requested to be traded is ... herculean.
