Ronald Richards serving Bravo with ‘litigation hold’ papers? Is this discovery?

IANAL but it means from the point of receiving the letter steps must be taken to preserve communication. I work in IT so that's my perspective but at this point we would start moving mailboxes to litigation hold groups/containers, start regular drive snapshots, put backups into permanent storage as opposed to being overwritten, cease shredding, increase log retention on servers and firewalls etc.

Basically something like this is a trigger for HR/Legal/Accounting/IT to start backing up and tracking everything. And if anyone at Evolution, Bravo or the various LLCs think of deleting an email, or clearing their Chrome history or deleting a file, they're out of luck.

Of course all of this is in case they have cost centers that have processes like these nailed down, which in media is very iffy.
