What issue does that solve? As it is they show little concern for following the law and are not held accountable for it. And the reason they aren't held accountable is because people think it's barbaric or hypocritical to hold others to standards these days, and we all have different ideas about what is/isn't acceptable based on our views of government, their authenticity, and how we feel things should be run.

The problem with laws is that criminals don't follow them. And we have a lot of clear cut criminals in politics as we speak and nothing is being done about them.

I just don't see what this solution solves.

Just ask yourself. When you were a kid, you probably were told you couldn't do certain things, so rather than obey, you simply improved your ability to conceal what you did. It's the same inherent problem with laws, and money doesn't get prosecuted unless bigger money prosecutes.

Once money is involved, integrity vanishes.

What we need to do, in all honesty, is start hanging leaders who defy the constitution and commit treasonous acts or acts that otherwise attempt to bypass the controls in place (the patriot act would be an example, as would obama care).

From lowly cops to the POTUS, these are the people who should be held to the highest standards of behavior and ethics. They are the custodians of the spirit of prosperity. Betraying those charges should carry the most severe punishments in the land.

The beauty of all of t his is, at least in the US, is that we have the Constitution which is a fairly strict and simple document that achieves most of the interpretation we require.

Changing the Constitution should be a serious task worthy of long deliberation. But, once something defies it, then those responsible should be dealt with accordingly.

No law shall pass that defies the Constitution explicitly or in spirit until the Constitution itself is changed.

That means an immediate dismantling of the NSA, TSA, swathes of the CIA, the Patriot Act, and immediate end to TTP, TTIP, SOPA, PIPA and a myriad of other laws, regulations, acts and agencies implemented in the last 75 years. And in the last 16 years in particular.
