Rover Pipeline Spills More Than 2 Million Gallons of 'Drilling Fluid' in Ohio Wetlands, One Month After Construction Began

How the fuck do you sell a house in a place like that?

It was hard. The fracking in that area has started earthquakes. Combine that with an expansive clay soil and I had serious foundation issues.

I had 5 quotes to fix it with piers, average quote was $25,000. I showed the quotes to every prospect. We had to sell by owner, no Realtor would touch it unless we agreed to "fix" the foundation first.

No way was I going to fix it, and then have anther quake and have to start all over again. So I sold it as-is. Some fool eventually bought it. I disclosed everything and kept marking the price down. That's how I managed to get out from under it. I took a bath. It was about a $70,000 discount on a $250,000 property. On the upside, it was on top of a hill with an awesome view. Well, awesome for Texas.

Also, what the fuck possessed you to buy real estate in a Republican-dominated shithole like Texas?

You don't get to pick where you were born, or where meet your wife. She owned it before I met her. We sold it and moved out of the state. I'm in Colorado now.

The new owner has a similar problem. His wife fell in love with the view and sweet-talked him into overlooking the obvious and glaring problems. I'm sure those piers he had installed have shaken loose by now. Sucks to be him.
