Running and weight training

Keep running away from Weightlifting - in a time sense. An hour run in the morning, and lifting in the evening fir example. Don't do cardio that's more than a warm up/down close to your lifting session as there is some interference, but assuming your calories and macros, sleep and recovery are correct, there'll only be a net benefit from doing both.

One important caveat: your knees. Another of Running combined with heavy squats, over the course of a mesocycle, is going to beat your knees up. Eventually this almost certainly lead to a decline in performance, either weight on the bar, volume, distance run, time/pace or frequency or even ability to train.

So for example, you wake up, have a coffee, go for a run, have breakfast, go to work, have lunch, hit the gym after, eat dinner, relax, there shouldn't be any negative Impact between the two, assuming you're hitting your calories macros.

Hitting the gym, then going for a 2hr run immediately afterward, however, is not a great idea.
