Russell Brand calls the Queen of England by her REAL family name and the media goes crazy!

I don't know about anyone else but to me it's because it's like having a living and breathing ancient relic coexisting at the same time the modern world which seems to be evolving at light speeds.

It's not an ancient relic but actually part of the very fabric of British (and indeed the entire anglo-sphere bar America) culture and life.

at the same time the modern world which seems to be evolving at light speeds.

Are you under the impression that republicanism is somehow a more "evolved" form of government? That's rather laughable, seeing as republics have been around since ancient Athens, Sparta and of course the Roman Republic.

What happened to those "evolved" societies?

And I don't mean it in the sense of "lol that woman be old as fuck bruh", but as in, that woman is living the exact same life someone did fucking centuries ago.

Why does that matter?

It's like having a cromagnon that we employ hundreds of people to keep well fed and protected, and in a state where it is as little disrupted by the outside world as possible so its novelty won't wear off, with many people claiming it as a symbol of whatever the fuck it could be and usign its image to sell souvenirs.

The fact that they are in that place because nobody cares enough about them enough to make a The storming of the Bastille 2: Electric bogaloo while also realizing the tourism it attracts out of curious foreigners alone is a fucking gold mine is incredible.

As I've said before, Britain is proud of its traditions and culture. All you are saying here is "I don't like the monarchy, because they're bad" and I want to know why. You can't seem to explain that bit.

Also, you don't seem to understand what the British monarchy does; they're actually very active in public life. Rarely are they "locked away". Everyday they're basically visiting charities or organisations to help people, or promoting British interests around the globe.

But I can see the angst is too strong here, perhaps if you ever lived in a constitutional monarchy and adopted its culture or traditions you'd understand.
