Most of the conservative pundits and celebrities you know about are grifters. There is a huge industry to conservatism, a lot of working-class people are disillusioned with their government, and seeking conspiracy theories to explain why things are just bad for them. Why the world is designed to make living as a working class or poor person horrible. It's no wonder so many working class people drift toward these people who will tell them whatever they want to hear, and tell them that their government is lying to them, and that everything is a giant conspiracy.

I spent a lot of time last year organizing and I am a proud member of the working class. I feel like I could easily have been swayed by these sort of people. Every time I see a new one of them cashing in it drives me crazy.

I put money on maybe 5% of these people actually believing in anything they say. They're just pilfering the conservative working class for every dime they have.
