I remember one week where the front pages were 'Leaving might cause WW3'

Which was not said by anyone on the Remain side.... it was however said by Boris "lying bastard" Johnson claiming that Cameron said it. Cameron said that destabilising Europe could increase the chances of war (never thought I'd defend Cameron), and it is hard to argue with that view, Europe is a continent with a bloody history of war amongst neighbours. No one can honestly deny that recent decades have seen an unprecedented leave of peace in Europe. Sure, the UK alone leaving the EU isn't likely to destabilise Europe that much but remember we had/have nutters, elected eurosceptic MEPs, who after winning, were then going on about how it was time to ensure the whole of the EU is toppled
