[Serious]Bisexuals of Reddit, what the most surprising difference between dating each sex? What was shockingly similar?

Women were more likely to be spontaneous and want to do things (like travel to the next town to eat a fancy restaurant). The men I've dated have seemed to be much more laid back and cool with just sitting around and playing video games. We didn't have to constantly be doing something. The women have been more sympathetic to my everyday little problems, however the men have seemed more supportive of big life decisions.

These statements make me think that men are more prone to want to do one thing more thoroughly, rather than dip into a bunch of unique things. Whereas women are the opposite, and seem more to enjoy and prefer being in a novel situation, though don't neccesarily expect it. And for problems, women seem to be more sympathetic to many little problems and fixing them to have a good overall place in life. Whereas men support bigger decisions more because its something that is "doing one thing more thoroughly" and thus have one larger thing to be proud of that they can focus on and base part of their identity off. Women like being overall in a 'good' position for many things in life. Men prefer to be in an 'extremely good' position for one thing in life (wife, job, etc).

Further, men as far as what they seek in a relationship usually seek attention that validates their position and direction in life, whereas women seek attention that validates their interests and needs in life. Examples being: "I have good grades in school, have a well paying job, or am funny/good looking, this women is giving me attention, this makes me feel rewarded for accomplishing these things!" And "I love hiking, this guy loves hiking is giving me attention as a fellow hiker! This makes me feel like my interest is worthwhile and makes me feel like I am needed and loved."

Phew, that was a lot, wrote more than I though I would lol, the ideas just kept coming!
