[Serious] Hotties of Reddit, when did you discover that you were hot and how did it affect your personality?

What your describing is attraction.

Initially people may not ask why you like certain things, but as the relationship develops they will naturally want to devour everything about you. Don't demand that everything falls in line instantaneously.

Relationships are pursued because of raw, animal-like attraction and develop into something more. The fact that they want to know what makes you tick is what's important. You'll get into the why later.

And if you don't, tell 'em to fuck off. There's really no way of telling until you start letting your guard down.

Their perspective:

I met this gorgeous woman today. She was so smart and charming and when we talked, I found we had a lot of the same interests. She was so mesmerizing, I got butterflies in my stomach, but tried to play it cool. I don't know why she wouldn't give me her number... maybe she had a boyfriend.

Your perspective:

This guy kept talking to me all night. He wanted to know everything about me, but I bet he didn't care about why all that stuff was important to me. When we were talking, he seemed dumbfounded, probably just drooling over me and not listening. He asked for my number, but all he wanted was some ass.

I had the same problem as you and for nearly six years, I wasn't intimate with anyone (sexually, or otherwise). I was acting as judge, jury, and executioner for everyone I met. Assuming the worst of their intentions and never giving anyone a chance.

I fucked my current SO the first night we met. Our relationship started on a purely physical level and developed into the deepest friendship I've ever had in life. We either talk all night or fuck all night, it's a very spiritual connection because we are so compatible on both ends.

From my experience, you can develop a friendship, but you can't develop sexual attraction. Trust me, I've tried and failed time and time again.

Pursue those who you find attractive and see if you can discover your best friend along the way.

Don't expect the full package from Day One. Live a little.
