[Serious] how are gay kids treated by their peers in today’s public schools (I’m old, just wondering if we’re doing any better now from when I attended)?

I’m not arguing against that, that can be true as well. However, when there is an anomaly, one has to look at all the factors, as there are plenty of places where homosexuality is acceptable and yet the numbers stay consistent with societal averages. For something way outside the norm, you either have to say, a. It’s a coincidence, which becomes rapidly more unlikely with each number that deviates from the norm, or b. Something else factors in, and the trendiness or glamorization of something would cause that sort of spike in numbers. For other explanations, you’re looking more at “the water turned the frogs gay” sorts of explanations than anything reasonable unless you have a different theory.
