[Serious] How do you keep your head up when nobody wants to be your friend no matter how hard you try?

I have moved quite a few times in my life (mostly high school years) and I figured out pretty early that, as another poster said, trying makes you seem desperate. Desperation kills interest in both relationships and friendships. If you are quite introverted like I am, wait for someone to approach you. Doesn’t mean you should never approach someone but make sure you’re doing it sparingly. From the second time we moved I stopped trying, did my own thing and focused on what I was interested in. Speaking only when approached and not trying too hard to approach others. It worked pretty well as by the time we moved again I had a few good friends who all approached me.
