[Serious] How has Trump made your life better?

Too many things to mention. I could talk about it for a long time.

I'll give you one example. One of the people I've been exposed to is Jordan Peterson. I used to be a New Atheist type who really looked down on religion, and he said a couple things that made me rethink the subject.

  1. He considers himself a Christian, but not in the usual sense. He's more of a nominal Christian. But as a clinical psychologist he says that a person's religion isn't what they think they believe. What people believe and what they think they believe are two different things, because we don't really understand ourselves, and the best indicator of what a person really believes is their behavior, not their words, which imo seems true!

  2. Another, he said, and I'm probably butchering it.. that he's not sure if a civilization can maintain itself without a religion, because there's no record of examples of that happening. Maybe it can, but we don't know. He criticizes Sam Harris (who is a New Atheist) for thinking that if man gets rid of religion, we will all be rational, and Peterson thinks that viewpoint is incorrect, because people aren't rational, and he thinks its a miracle that society is as civil and cooperative and non-violent as it is, because there is a very dark, hateful side to human nature as well, as history shows.
