[Serious] Nurses/Hospital Workers of Reddit: What is the most paranormal/weirdest thing you have ever experienced while working?

I've been to the psych ward many times in the hospital. I've got stories for day.

The hospital I'm going to talk about has alot of paranormal activity. I will tell you a personal experience and a few things that doctors and patients have told me.

My Personal Experience

I was walking down the hallway one night at 3am to head to the office. I had heartburn and couldn't sleep. As I was walking down this long hallway, I saw a boy walk across the hall from one room to another. The most horrific thing is he was literally scratching his face off. You could see blood running down his face. I stopped and ran back to my room.

The staff saw me on the camera and came to my room to ask me what happened. I didn't tell them, because I wasn't sure if it was the medication or what. Didn't want to tell the doctors 'hey I'm hallucinating now"

A week later I mentioned something to a staff member and they told me a boy use to be at that psych ward about 20 years back. He had these violent episodes that made him want to scratch the skin off his face so they had to sedate him and keep him tied up most of the time stretched out on a table. (I actually spent some time in there, it's horrible) He stayed in the psych unit for quite some time, then went to a state hospital.

The worst part is he was pretty normal except for those episodes. When he got got to the state hospital I guess they had him in a padded room until he went crazy from being fed pills and locked inside a room with a straight jacket on. He ended up mysteriously dying, supposedly the state hospital covered it up, but nobody will do anything about it.

Doctors, Staff Experience

Some of the staff at this same certain hospital told me about a guy killing himself by slitting his wrists. (I actually slit my left wrist in the same room because of this story) For the next few weeks they had problems with black crows flying into the psych ward windows. It was only on the 5th floor where the psych ward was located.

Patient Experience

I had a this one room mate who thought he was God. I didn't really believe half the stuff he said until he told me some detailed information about me that nobody knew.

I stayed there twice. The first time for 1 week, the second time for 8 weeks.
