[Serious] People of Reddit who have been interrogated by the police, how was it? What was the reason?

I was interrogated by federal agents (I won't say which agency) when I was I college. I went to my class at noon, and came back at 1:30 and found that my apartment had been ransacked. However my room and my roommates room was locked. My clothes were everywhere, my mug was in my drawer, my mattress up the wall, my notes and books layered the floor. However my $1500 in cash and my credit cards and my laptop were still there.

I asked the office what happened, and they said they didn't know, I would have to speak with the police department on campus. Going there, I told them my name and where I'm living and I hear, "the roommate's here!" "Oh, send him in!" Going in two federal agents introduced themselves, and brought me into a room. This is where I'm thinking "I should have got a lawyer but I'm just scared shitless."

They sat me down in a spacious office, and they tried to do "bad cop". "We're going to give you once change to explain the amount of cash you had" I spilled my beans, "it's from my dad, he gave it to me for food for the whole semester, because I don't have a meal plan." This is where they were disinterested in me. They go "oh...ok." Then they come in and show me 12 or so mug shots of black people (I'm Asian), they ask have I seen any of these? I say no, and then they tell me my roommate (black guy) stole a lot of things with these people.

One agent tells me he's gonna get more stuff to ask me, and slinks away. I'm stuck in the room with the other agent, we chit chat. He told me they had a warrant to enter my apartment, and since they didn't know which bed was which, they searched both rooms. The warrant is locked in my roommates room, and I'd have to get a copy when he gets back. We talk about other stuff, like movies and such. I then ask him where is his partner. He texts him and says "fucker ditched me and went to lunch" he told me to go back to my apartment, I'm free to go, I'm gonna have the apartment to myself soon.

Soon enough my roommate was expelled in his last semester with multiple felony counts.
