[Serious] Redditors who've survived a kidnapping: What's your story?

(Sorry this is so long, I'm on mobile) During my Jr. Year of high school I was volunteering at an overnight event on a college campus, about 45 minutes from where I lived. Basically we were supposed to set up and just keep an eye on things all night, and there was around 25 of us and two adult supervisors. We all piled into the busses, set everything up and blah blah blah. Well eventually, the supervisors drop the bomb that they're gonna leave us there alone and "trust us" to get the job done. Okay, whatever.

A few hours go by and a few of us decide to ditch the whole thing. One kind soul offers to drive everyone who wanted to leave (3 of us) back in his mini van, and take us back around 7 am before the supervisors got back. I (stupidly) go with.

He drops off everyone else at the place we all parked our cars per request, but I didn't have a license yet and had gotten dropped off. I could've just waited for my parents to pick me up, but instead I took him up on his offer to drive me. About 10 mins of driving in the wrong direction and my anxiety starts going wild. He's tall (6'2 ish?) and had at least a hundred pounds on me. He says he has to stop by his buddy's house, and that it will only take a second. I don't know why I didn't bolt right then.

As he's inside I quickly fumble with my phone and send a panicked vague text to my best friend that says something like" I might need your help. Are you home?" My phone is almost dead at this point as well. As I'm sitting with my fingers on the door handle, he comes back outside.

He comes back outside with three other guys, and one is actually someone I kinda sorta know from many years ago. The original guy lifts his shirt and shows me he has a gun under his waistband and tells me that I'm not going home, that I'm never going home etc etc, just general threats. I started babbling and crying and begging him to let me leave and he told me to shut up. I was so nervous I couldn't breathe. They made me sit in the back of the van and drink out of some Gatorade bottle full of god knows what. It burned like hell and made me heave. The person I sorta knew sat in the front seat and the other guy with the gun in the back with me. They drove me around for HOURS smoking weed and drinking, until it was pitch black and I had no idea where I was. I was so foggy from the drink that I barely even registered when we parked somewhere. They also took my shoes and my jacket (so I didn't try to run I guess).

the two guys went inside and I was left w the guy i kinda knew. He started talking as soon as the doors closed, telling me about how he got his girlfriend pregnant, about how his family was doing, how his little sister recently broke her arm, how He was only selling drugs because of the money, that he didn't even know these guys that well. Apparently he owed them a shit ton of money. Just straight up word vomit, cramming like years of shit into it. He started crying, telling me he was sorry, telling me he's sorry he had to do this to me. That he never wanted to hurt me, he always liked me, etc etc.

I asked him to let me go. I told him I didn't care, that I wasn't gonna say anything. I begged him until finally he told me to just "shut up and go" and unlocked the doors. I took off like a bat out of hell and ran until my lungs felt like they were going to collapse.I only stopped to throw up or pull glass out of my feet. Eventually I reached a gas station and called my mom, and learned I was about 3 hours from home. This was three years ago.

I filed a police report but apparently the guy wasn't affiliated at ALL with the volunteering company, they had 0 records of him. There was so many of us there we just sorta figured he was with us and didn't question it. I named the guy I sorta knew, and I guess he cut a deal or something because as far as I know literally nothing happened to him. Maybe they couldn't find him. Nothing ever came of it, and I couldn't really function well enough to describe anything other that what they looked like and the kind of car he drove. After everything I was just grateful that they didn't hurt me, though I have no idea what the plan was when we reached whenever we were driving to.
