[Serious] Rich people of Reddit, what is the worst thing about being wealthy ?

Jesus Christ. This. So much this.

Loaned one family member hundreds of dollars for rent money. Next fucking day, she goes on a road trip to the other side of the state to visit friends even though the ex who LITERALLY HELD HER AT GUNPOINT lives there and still wants to hurt her. - I mention how shitty that was, she gives me the fucking silent treatment for a month.

Loan another family member money again for rent, the next weekend is my kids birthday. Family member hosts at his house because it's central and he's an awesome bbq'er. I buy tons of food and sodas, pick up beer too. Buy cheap beer because it's low in alcohol content and because I don't want to spend $100+ on alcohol for a children's party. - his wife first complains about the quality of the beer (bitch really) then while I'm cleaning up asks if I'm going to leave the leftover cheap beer (bitch ... I mean yea I was but .. REALLY??!!)

And I have no expectations of getting paid back. Which is fine too. I mean I get it, I struggled too at one point and I know how fortunate I am.

But yea there's an assumption that you'll be there to step in and the assumption is so great that it not only nullifies points you'd make in separate conversations, it actually diminishes your point.

You shouldn't go on a road trip, you can't afford it and your ex is crazy and dangerous
DON'T HOLD THAT MONEY YOU LOANED ME OVER MY HEAD I DO WHAT I WANT!!

You might want to cool it with the Miller Lites, you're starting to look tipsy
DON'T JUDGE ME YOU DON'T OWN ME I'LL PAY YOU BACK I DO WHAT I WANT!!

Yea. Loaning money sucks. Because people seem to think they can guilt trip you and walk all over you, after.
