[Serious] Straight people of Reddit, when did you know you weren’t gay?

I don't know. I think my earliest memory of being attracted to someone was getting a crush on a girl in my class, like, really young. Like, reception or something (UK equivalent of kindergarten). I stayed away from her because she was a girl and I didn't think she'd like me, and she moved away.

Ever since then I've basically been attracted to girls. I was attracted to various girls growing up. I developed mild crushes, but nothing serious. Honestly, for most my adolescence I was trying to suppress my sexuality. I was dealing with some serious mental health issue at the time. I'm over that problem now, but I'm still not very comfortable with the idea of pursuing a romantic relationship.
