Ok so when I was around 2 I had a febrile convulsion in the car and died for around an hour. The doctors told my parents that I was some kind of medical anomaly because normally people that die for longer than a few minutes stat dead. Now obviously I don't remember any of this because I was two years old but when I think about some of the things I've experienced I can link it to that.

My mum likes to believe in crystals and angels and all of that. Dad doesn't buy into religion much at all and I only went of basic Christian stuff that I was taught at school, so nothing incredibly devote. But when I was around 4-5 I wholeheartedly believe I saw some kind of spirit/ghost/angel.

So I wake up, at some time way past my bedtime and the room is totally illuminated. I have always slept in total darkness so obviously this is unusual for me. At the end of my bed there is this transparent blue woman. She's just smiling at me. I'm sitting bolt upright in bed staring back at her. All around her feet are blue flames and she's wearing this blue flowing dress. Closest comparison I can link this to is the Force Ghosts from the end of Return of the Jedi. In hindsight I should have been completely terrified but there was just a very calming sense about this woman. We stared at each other for a good couple of minutes and I just rolled over and went back to sleep.

Told my parents about it the next day and mum kept saying it was some kind of Arch Angel or something. Dad was skeptical but he knew I believed what I saw was real. I never researched what she was but I do have other experiences with paranormal things. I guess I was a bit of a child medium for a while. But yeah that's the most striking thing that happened after I died.
