I'm late, but finally something I can answer. I was out partying with local girls in Tunisia back in 2009. I was driving back to where I was staying when we got pulled over by a random police check point. I was not driving but I was in the back with a girl on my lap. Needless to say the cops were pissed an American was with these local girls. The cops pulled me out and an Arabic shouting match ensued. I was threatened with jail time and vanishing from the face of Earth. The girls were terrified of having their fathers find out. Turns out the cops just wanted money and I have never been so happy to empty my wallet before. Was a big wake up call and learning experience for me.
