[SERIOUS] What is a seemingly normal photo that has a disturbing backstory?

i (and many of my associates at the time) knew this couple and their adopted kids relatively well, that is, up to about 1.5-2 years before the murder.

several pointed interactions with the women, both in real life and on social media, led me to believe very firmly that the two ladies were heavily, heavily poisoned with "white savior" syndrome. It became extremely clear as time went on that this was the case.

I don't have the social media posts anymore and therefore no evidence to back this up, but trust when i say that these two ladies very clearly had some fucked up views on race. these kids were more status symbols and tools for support and sympathy than actual family members.

you don't have to believe me, but i thought i'd offer some real perspective from someone who actually knew devonte and his brothers and sisters personally, largely before they moved full-time to Oregon (presumably to better hide their abuse and neglect)
