When I was 8 years old I had a dream that there was a man who broke into my house and was in my living room. I was in my bed laying under my covers when all of a sudden I hear a chainsaw start up. That instant I woke up from my dream.

Seconds later I heard the chainsaw noise start up again that was in my dream. Then I heard footsteps coming up the hallway and the noise was getting louder and louder. At this point I was so scared I could barely breathe and couldn't make a sound. I finally got the courage to look over into my doorway when I was positive the sound was right outside of it. As soon as I did, I saw the very tip of a chainsaw sticking out. I heard one more extra loud footstep and all of a sudden everything just went away.

I thought that was going to be my last night alive. I screamed and my parents came in but they didn't hear any of what I just did. Now I suspect it was a ghost because later on in my life I found out there were three people who died in my house, one of which was in the lumber business. I still get scared to walk up my hallway at night to this day.
