My motivation when I started LD around 15 years ago was solely sex - not flying, educational, talking to dream characters and so on - nope just sex.

So why sex you wonder. Well it wasn't because I didn't have sex IRL because I did. No it was simply because it offered me the possibility to experience sex with a 'dream character' that resemble a person I would never meet IRL or was otherwise 'unavailable' and it made it possible to live out some fantasies I wasn't able to in real life.

I got quite good at it to be honest and I must say for me personally sex in a lucid dream feels many times more 'intense' than IRL - which of course increased my motivation factor many times.

When that is said it was difficult to reach that point where I could actually have sex with a dream character. So itt took a lot of focused training, hours of writing dream journals and many lost LDs.

So it's defiantly not easy or for beginners and if you believe that it's just a matter of learning to become lucid in your dream and then you can have sex with all the dream characters you will most likely end up disappointed for a long long long time and maybe even loose interest in LD because of frustration. Frankly in the beginning you will wake up just seconds after becoming lucid the first times because of the excitement of realizing you are dream. Then imagine the excitement level you will feel when you can basically have sex with the woman of your dream.

So I instead suggest you work your way up by start focusing on all the other amazing things LD have to offer and then start small where you learn to LD regularly and not lose the LD. After that build slowly upon it with learning to control your LDs by eg spawning dream characters you can talk to and so on. You will eventually discover that there's so many other awesome things beside sex you can do in a lucid dream that is just as fun as exciting as sex.

I recently started LD again after being away from it for a decade - so I am now trying to work my way back to how it was back when I could have sex in my LD. Today however my main focus is not sex. Don't get me wrong I still enjoy it and want to do like back then but LD just offers so many other possibilities which you will discover if you enter this amazing realm of your mind.

Just my last LD a few nights ago was me walking in the most beautiful garden/park I have ever seen. It was literally breathtaking and I don't want personally to rob myself of those experiences just to get 'laid'.
